Anceslio – Privacy Policy

Family tree, descendant chart and kinship · last updated 12 September 2026

EnglishDeutsch
In one sentence: Anceslio collects nothing. The app has no user account and no server, it makes no network requests, and your family data never leaves your device.

What the app stores

The family data you open or type in is stored only on your own device, inside the app’s own local storage, so that it is still there the next time you open Anceslio. Files you export are written to the place you choose on your device.

What the app sends

Nothing. Anceslio makes no network requests at all and works fully offline. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party software development kits. There is no registration, no login and no cloud synchronisation.

Permissions

The app requires no special Android permissions. It reads a file only when you actively choose one, and writes a file only when you export your data yourself.

Deleting your data

Inside the app, Data → Clear data on this device removes everything Anceslio has stored. Uninstalling the app removes it as well. Because the data never leaves your device, there is nothing stored on our side that could be requested or deleted.

Children

Anceslio is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anybody, children included.

Your data and other people

Family trees contain personal information about living people. Anceslio does not process any of it, but you do: treat an exported GEDCOM file the same way you would treat an address list, and think twice before sharing a chart that shows dates of birth of people who have not agreed to it.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the new version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.

Deutsche Fassung

Kurz gesagt: Anceslio erhebt keine Daten.

Was gesendet wird: nichts.

Löschen: In der App entfernt Data → Clear data on this device alle gespeicherten Daten, das Deinstallieren ebenfalls.
